Managing Partner and CEO Brian Becker, Chief Talent Officer Ty Beasley and National Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Leader Tracey Walker share their perspectives on, experience with and commitment to building a culture of diversity and inclusion at RSM.
As the firm’s new managing partner and CEO, I am honored to lead RSM at such a pivotal time in our history and to continue executing on the firm’s Vision 100…Powered by our culture strategy.
Our culture is a powerful competitive advantage that differentiates RSM as a leader in inclusive and compelling talent experiences. Our people have woven together this culture from the diverse perspectives we each bring to our firm and our clients, and we are committed to continuing to evolve and sustain it for our future – and yours.
RSM’s vision for the transformative era in front of us will be our boldest yet. That’s why in this year’s diversity report, we are putting forth some bold goals to increase representation so we can harness the power of diversity and inclusion to lead our firm and our clients into the future. All while maintaining our unrivaled culture.
By harnessing the many talents, stories and perspectives of our people, we’re building an experience of combined strengths – a tapestry, if you will – that is truly beautiful and unique. The end result will be an increasingly inclusive and equitable RSM, profession and society where together we achieve more than we ever thought possible.
All the best,
At RSM, our Power of Being You culture encourages each of our people across the U.S., Canada, India and El Salvador to bring their authentic selves to work each day. Being authentic is essential for building meaningful relationships that enable each of us to contribute most effectively to the success of our clients, our communities and one another.
Since our firm was founded nearly 100 years ago (in 1926), we’ve been focused on our people. And we’ve enhanced that focus over the years in a variety of ways, including formalizing our approach to inclusion with the development of a team of professionals dedicated to enhancing our culture, diversity and inclusion (CDI) efforts; the formation of 12 diverse employee network groups; refining social commitments to the marketplace and community; by defining our enterprise CDI policy and by continuously striving for solutions to complex diversity and inclusion issues and challenges.
This year, we broadened our talent leadership team to support the increasingly complex needs of our business and our people by adding a position dedicated to bringing our strategy to drive an unrivaled inclusive culture and talent experience to life. With this change, we also united our talent team with our culture, diversity and inclusion (CDI) team, showcasing how CDI continues to be a top priority for our firm, and will enable us to move faster on our strategic imperatives.
We are honored and humbled to be a part of RSM’s continued efforts to enrich inclusion – not only within our walls but within our profession, within our communities and in the world at large. It’s critical to our collective success in today’s increasingly diverse and global economy but more importantly, it’s simply the right thing to do.
We invite you to read and learn more as we continue to weave together our diverse thinking, talents and perspectives to further create this tapestry that is our culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
